Brand new machine from Apria will it messup Sleepyhed

Post by Islandwoman » Thu Sep 18, 2014 12:56 pm

After dealing with wheezing machine I finely spoke to someone at Apria. I was told about "clinic hours" a drop in time from ten till noon two mornings a week. I was seen immediately by a technician who listened to my machine(which of course hardly wheezed). The tech checked my settings excused himself and returned with a new machine. He was great. I think the main issue with Apria is the corporate interface. I now have a way to bypass that to the local office for any issues.
My question is how will Sleepyhead react to the new machine, I will be using my original card or the new one. I don't want to lose the old Sleepyhead information but do I need a second profile? Will the new machine delete my old card? Same for EncoreBasic.

your sleepyhead data is on your computer already. it'll show that you changed machines, since the new one has a different serial number.

I can't speak to encore.

Thank you, I will be sure to backup sleepyhead files up from my computer in any case.

Encore won't care either. No need to use a different profile either. I have maybe 5 different Respironics machines under one user profile in Encore Basic (and Pro).

If you create a new profile, you know everything will be all right. After using the machine for a while, you won't care that much about the old results.

However, it will probably work OK to use the same profile, too.

Yeah, I thought I had a special deal with Apria back when I started with them in 2013. For the first month I only dealt with the office manager (super nice), then I could only deal with her assistant, then a month later only the San Jose phone staff... now I can ONLY connect with the Apria National Hot Line (not so HOT... actually the national phone service really sucks). They'll tell you anything to get you locked into their web of deceit/system. I certainly hope you continue to get good service, however don't be surprised if you are immediately bumped 'down the corporate ladder' until you are treated like a third class customer.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
