Re: Sleep hours
I'm another one that wakes up after about 5 or, more often, 6 hours of sleep. It's just a little better than a coin flip if I can get back to sleep after that. I always feel better during the day if I've gotten 7 or more hours of sleep, hardly ever get 8 hours. And if I've had a good night's sleep, ...

Re: Eclipse Mask intro video in Less Than an Hour
Folks...those of you who are totally new to the Bleep system who are scared about pre-ordering 3 months worth of stuff because you don't know if you will love or hate the Eclipse system....I bet if you hate it that there are going to be enough lovers who will be happy to buy your unwanted supplies ...

Re: Eclipse Mask intro video in Less Than an Hour
I was considering pre-ordering, and noticed that you have to pre-order 3 months at least (when I looked). Since I don't know whether this will work for me, I'll have to wait until I can do regular orders. Doesn't really matter I guess, other than not getting into line as early as I'd like *smile*. I...

Re: Anyone Sleep Through Power Outage
We have solar panels with backup batteries now, but before that I remember waking up with the power off a few times. Slept for at least a couple of hours with the power out, and while it was a little more work to breathe, it was fine. No problem.

Re: Getting Used to Nasal Masks
Thanks... I just tried your test and I can keep the back door closed easily. I guess I just need to practice. Been using nasal pillows and now nasal mask for about 10 years now...started by consciously thinking about putting my tongue in position on the roof of my mouth just behind my teeth as much...

Re: Who decides what CPAP Machine you get?
Got lucky with my sleep doctor right off the bat. He prescribed a ResMed AutoSet S9, and a ResMed Swift FX nasal pillow mask at the beginning. He was even pretty close on the initial pressure, 8 - 10cm...now on 11 - 13cm. Fine-tuned it myself, using SleepyHead, over time. Given that I didn't have en...

Re: Why do some people hate full face masks?
Didn't bother with full face masks until several years downstream. I have a beard, and nasal pillows worked well for me, no taping or chin straps. However, I decided that I needed to have a backup FFM for times when I had a cold or other nasal problem. Couldn't find one that sealed well enough with ...

Re: Dream wear nasal mask
Make sure that the nasal cushion is securely seated into the body of the mask. If that's the case, sounds defective to me.

Re: What neck pillow?
I'll throw in a plug for the Tempurpedic neck pillow, that's the one that I use. Working for me for several years now, you'd have to try it...don't know about returning it if it doesn't work for you, you'd have to check that part out to see what you're getting into. By the way, I'm a side sleeper, s...

Re: have tried so many masks
Wanted to second the Dreamwear Nasal mask recommendation. It's the only mask that will currently work for me of the many that I've tried since the nose surgery I had a few years ago. I did try the AirFit N30i as well, and even with its new, quieter nasal cradle cushion, it wasn't as good for me as a...

Re: pressure response on Airsense 11
Going to venture a reply to the OP. To put it simply, the events shown in your sleep data on the machine are the ones that the CPAP has not prevented. Events that the CPAP prevents aren't shown, since they were prevented *smile*. So the pressure can vary without an event being shown, and is likely t...

Re: Silicon Sensitivities
Another vote for the sleepweaver masks, also agree with trying the elan model first. The only problem that I had with them was that they didn't just unclip or pull off without releasing, you had to get into the rhythm of small re-adjustment every time that you put it on. But they work well, and if y...

Has the added benefit of re-starting your heart while you're using it. Could make defibrillators things of the past?

Re: I broke my nose!
She ended up with a much better nose since she had to have surgery. Kaiser (predictably) won't do cosmetic stuff. They said nothing can be done for the first 5 days anyway, and sent me home with a checklist. If I'm having any symptoms listed on the checklist I'm "invited" to call the head and neck ...
