Trouble with my mask

Post by Brazilian in trouble » Mon Sep 15, 2014 11:11 am

Dear all
I own a Respironics BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex and am currently using Resmed's Mirage Quattro mask.
I am having great trouble with the mask. I cannot use either a nasal one (my mouth gets terribly dry) or a full face one (have trouble keeping the mask in place).
I will be visiting Los Angeles next month and would like to visit a shop in the LA area and talk to someone about the state of the art in masks and what can be done to solve my mask problems.
Ideally It would be towards the Long Beach - Anaheim sector, but if the guys are good, anywhere will do.
Does anybody recomend a place?
Thanks
Lde C

Welcome, Brazilian.
Hopefully, you have a prescription valid in the US, as you will need one to purchase a mask from any business.
Also, if you would edit your title to indicate Long Beach/Anaheim DME needed, someone in the area can help.

Hopefully, we can work through your mask problems better than a shop, whose employees might not particularly care about fitting you, only selling you the mask. There are a myriad of masks to be tried, so your best bet is to try some suggestions from the members here, and order them from CPAP.com with the return insurance, so that if they don't work for you, you won't be out of pocket. For instance, mine is the Activa LT, which is very good about not slipping around for a side sleeper. You may be having the dry mouth problems because you have leaks, you should tell us more about your equipment so that we can help you with that.
