Respironics Auto, Heater Host Temperature

Post by snorebeard » Fri Aug 29, 2014 3:31 pm

I wanted to turn down heater hose temp. Seemingly can toggle on the heater hose and then set it between 1 and 5 in the settings mode. But after I put it to 1 and set it, then next time I turn it on, it defaults back to 3, which is too warm. Is there a way to keep it low. Only want to take the chill off, not cook the hose.

Should we be mucking with settings, beyond what is easily accessable? And if so, how?

Thanks. Have a good weekend all...

If you change the temperature of the air in the hose from 3 to 1 and it won't stay that way then maybe your DME has put that order on the SD card using the software.
You may need to erase the SD card to get rid of that setting. Don't worry...the machine stores everything but wave form data on its internal memory and will put it right back on the SD card.

How to get to the clinical menu to see the inner workings is explained here and there's a little video too.
