Purchase used S9 vpap adapt sv or Respironics

Post by keithy62 » Wed Aug 27, 2014 10:41 pm

Hi to all cpaptalk contribitors as i am new to this forum and thanks for all the wonderfull contributions tha you make.
I would like to purhase a used Respironics auto SV latest model or Resmed S9 vpap adapt sv as a backup.
Am currently on f&p cpap(not by choice) but have finally convinced my sleep doc(second one as 1st was taking for ever ) i need a full sv and am going to get a new Resmed Aircurve when they go on sale.
Pretty tough to get taken much notice of here in New Zealand because the sleep clinics here don't deal in this technology(servo ventilators) and just do cpap or bipap so try to fit everone with one of these regardless of there condition as thats all they normally offer.I think is has certainly improved my osa's but not the csa's
My initial sleep test displayed 31 events an hour ..being a 50-50 split between osa & complex or csa.
You need 45 events mixed an hour here to get anything done publicly or through insurance so buying privately is my only other option and as i say have one and finally convinced my doc(albeit reluctantly) to get me one ..his suggestion is the new resmed 10 aircurve due in 2 months at a cost of probably $6000+ ???WOW.. but gotta have it so any help getting a backup which i would need to have sent to me here in NZ would be much appreciated.I note some do freight internationally so hope i can get from someone with one of these models for sale.
Hope i have not rambled on for to long but 2 months is going to be a long wait.
Thanks and cheers keith

You might send a PM to STLmark and to GrandPap, they can sometimes find stuff. Good luck.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
