Thanks for telling us which one it is.

If it's a ResMed brand and has the word "Escape" in it, it's a brick.

If it's a Philips/Respironics brand and the model designation number (on the bottom of the machine) is lower than 450, it's a brick.

If it's a DeVilbiss, it depends on which model. Some are data-capable and some may not be.

If it's another brand, chances are it either doesn't collect data or software is not available.

It's an excellent machine. You can use SleepyHead software or any of the Encore versions of the Respironics software available.
Not a brick at all.
