SleepMapper software vs. SleepyHead

Just wondering - I'm using the SleepMapper software with my Philips Respironics CPAP and the Bluetooth adapter. It doesn't give a lot of information, but does easily let me keep track of things like AHI, mask leak, and how many hours a night I'm using the CPAP. Is there any benefit to moving to the SleepyHead software? And if so, is there any easy way to transfer my data to it each night, or do I have to manually remove the memory card from my machine (which also requires removing the Bluetooth adapter) and then connect it to my computer to transfer the data?

The data has to be manually transmitted to SleepyHead on your computer via the SD card. No wireless way to do that chore at this time.

If your SleepMapper data is boring...nice low AHI, no leaks, you are feeling great and sleeping great then there's probably no real urgent reason for you to be able to dig a little deeper. Up to you whether you want to see more details or not.

You could give SleepyHead a try and see how you like it. Your SD card is going to store all the detailed data files as long as it remains in the PR S1 while in use at night. You could download once a month to Sleepyhead and not lose anything. It's not like you just HAVE to pull the SD card every day if you don't want to.

No competition between the two, IMO. If you like to keep things really simple, sleepmapper should be fine. But I like to over analyze and confuse myself with more info than I know what to do with (til I slow down and take things in small chunks), so SH is more interesting to me.

I have seen many folks in Amish Country driving a horse and buggy. I prefer more horses under the hood when I drive.

SleepyHead gives a lot more data, but there's probably useful stuff in SleepMapper, especially if you can use it without fiddling with the SD card.

Heck, a lot of "sleep" doctors don't look at anything more than AHI. (or compliance for that matter.)

Just keep in mind to look at SleepyHead every so often, especially if SleepMapper shows problems.
