How could this be? Slept with machine, but logged no hours

Post by HealthyandHopeful » Tue Aug 26, 2014 8:24 pm

Last night I used my S9 Autoset like normal. When I woke up this morning I checked my stats and it had no time logged. As if I didn't use it. What would cause this to happen? I did get up a couple of times to go to the bathroom last night and turned it off and then back on each time. But that shouldn't cause it not to log the hours. I'm in my second month of therapy and this would seem to be my first night of noncompliance. I don't know that I need it for insurance reasons any more but I like to keep the info for myself. Plus, my machine info isn't right now as far as total time used. Any ideas? I slept for at least 7 hours last night.

Thanks!

What does the software report show for last night?
What time this morning did you check the on screen data?

The software also is blank for last night. I truly used the machine like normal. I checked it later on, maybe around 10 am. I intended to call the DME today but I forgot. Putting a reminder on my phone for tomorrow!

Blank screens or blank day when read into Sleepyhead? If the card was not in correctly, the report will be blank when downloaded...I've done it once myself....

But wouldn't the machine show usage even if the card was blank? I didn't take the card out yesterday. I'm new so I may not understand something that happened.

Which software is blank? SleepyHead or ResScan.

For tonight unplug the machine from the electric source and wait a couple of minutes and then plug it back in. This forces the machine's firmware to reboot...just in case it has some cobwebs in it. It may not do anything but it won't hurt anything either.

I have has an occasional night where my ResScan said I didn't used the machine but I know that I did. Big zeroes everywhere. I never bother with the onscreen data so I don't know what it says. Then 2 or 3 nights later the missing data shows up. I don't know why. And I did all the usual stuff when I had those 0 use nights. I never could figure out what was going on but it didn't happen again.

Yes...the machine should show the usage even if the SD card was the issue.
Unless you checked the LCD screen after 12 noon...on the machine (I assume you have the correct time set on the machine).
It resets to 0 at 12 PM per the clock on the machine.

I'm using Sleepyhead. I was trying to figure how to insert a pic of last night's graphs but I haven't figured how to do that yet. Interesting though, it shows the time I went to sleep and woke up (went to sleep at 12:05 and woke up at 7:22) but then says 00:33:04 minutes of sleep (this is from Sleepyhead). The graphs are blank except for a small amount at each end of the graph -- less than 30 minutes on each end -- beginning and end of sleep. I hope this makes sense.

It could be that I looked at it after 12 today. I don't remember exactly when it was. But the data on Sleepyhead is just so strange too. I did get 0.0 AHI's last night!!

I'll turn the machine off for a couple of minutes and back on tonight. Thanks for this suggestion!

I unplugged and plugged it back last night before sleeping. Last night's hours were logged. So I guess it was just a fluke. Glad it's not something I need to take care of and hope it doesn't happen again!

Thanks for the help!!

My Philips System One machine occasionally does the same thing. When I check the unit in the morning, there is sometimes no data on the display. When I spoke to my DME about it, they told me that sometimes, the modem will send the data before I wake up which is why it blanks out. When this happens to me, I've noticed that the data does show up when I check the Philips Android Sleepmapper app directly, though.

No humidifier (I take my air shaken, not stirred)

Maybe your internal clock is off or battery is dead and date doesn't match sleepy head. Maybe the card is defective
Maybe it never happened you we abducted by aliens and the made you think you slept through the night like normal( just kidding, I'm not a nut job... Really I'm not ).

ROFLMAO....the crap these guys spew. Sadder yet if they actually believe it.
Sending the data via the modem doesn't blank out anything on the machine.
The most common cause for blank data on the PR S1 machine is time of checking of data or in rare instances not enough time has lapsed when closing out last session.
The machine won't update the LCD screen data until 12 noon GMT time. Depending on where you live in relation to GMT time the most likely explanation is that someone has checked the LCD screen prior to GMT time rolling around.
There's also a lesser reason in relation to closing out of last session but that gets complicated.

But the blank screen has nothing at all to do with the modem sending anything. If the modem wasn't attached the same time restrictions are present.

I don't think my data is sent anywhere by modem. I took the whole machine to the DME to print out the report after one month of use and it's never been mentioned. Hopefully problem solved!!
