More Newbie Questions

Post by Kathiellew » Sat Aug 23, 2014 9:22 am

Hi all. This is such a great forum! I have a few questions from reading some of the posts.

1) My profile page asks for my ICQ number. ??
2) Any suggestions for keeping my mouth closed without a chin strap? I've seen MAD(?), Polident, Blue Painter's tape
3) I started out with a nasal pillow mask and it was very comfortable, but after a few nights the inside of the bottom of my nose became very aggravated so I switched to the Wisp. If there is something to help with the irritation, I'd love to go back to the nasal pillow.
4) How do I get my machine and mask properties into my profile

Thanks so much! Kathie

wiki/index.php/Registering_Equipment_in_User_Profile
How to register equipment explained above

Disregard any ICQ number stuff...not needed

Get some Lansinoh lanolin ointment/cream for the nostril irritation. Use it profusely during the day to promote healing and sparingly at night (too much makes things slide around a lot).

Too much irritation in the nostrils from nasal pillows can also be from either incorrect pillow size or the straps are too tight.

Lansinoh is used by nursing mom's to help prevent and heal nipple issues from breast feeding. Won't hurt the nasal pillow silicone and won't hurt you either to have it on/in your nose. Normally found in the baby section of most stores where the bottles and pacifiers are.
