hi everyone
New to the forum and have been diagnosed with sleep apnea since July 17 2014. Wasn't keen on using a machine to help me sleep but I must say that it has helped a lot! Sleeping just 4 hours with my machine is better then sleeping 10 hours without Feel more rested and alert. My DME doesn't provide me with lots of info so I would like to monitor my progress and shortcomings with my treatment. Seems that there is software that I can use and was wondering what is good for a newbie like me?
The sleep pillows I use is the F&P Opus and I like it alot, being a side sleeper. I have woken up many times however because of leaking and had to readjust to seal the leak. Have adjust many times but leak issue is still there. I have noticed that my leak reading on my S9 has the number of 14. Being new at this I am not sure if this is excessive and what would be a solution to drop that number.
Maybe another type of nasal pillow would work? My DME bluntly told me that it is the best nasal pillow for a side sleeper.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cpap monitoring and sleep pillow issue
you'll get better help if you register and post your equipment and such here, but to find out more about what's going on, download sleepyhead software, http://www.sleepfiles.com/SH and use it to read the sd card that's in your s9, as long as you done have one that says 'escape' by the power button, you can get tons of info.netravler68 wrote:hi everyone

a leak level of 14 is good enough.
I prefer the resmed P10 nose pillows, but I haven't tried an opus, so I don't have any direct comparison.

Re: Cpap monitoring and sleep pillow issue
I have used the Opus 360 nasal pillow mask in the past. It's not the most stable of nasal pillow masks of the ones I have tried and I have tried almost all of them.
The ResMed AirFit P10 or the ResMed Swift FX would probably be more stable. The F & P Aloha is also fairly stable. It just has a little more "stuff" on the face which I personally find a negative but you might like it.
I am a side sleeper too.
