Wisp mask
I am a new cpap user. I am using the wisp mask and like the comfort and fit of it However, I can't stand the fact that the air from the vent blows into my eyes. I don't even like it hitting my skin. It seems to happen only after I have been asleep for a while. Is there a way to redirect the airflow?
Re: Wisp mask
My Wisp seems to vent directly forward from just above the hose connection.
You must have something redirecting the that air. The hose, your blanket, your arm.
Do some testing withe the mask and machine before bed time to observe the air flow.
If it is blowing in your eyes it is more likely a mask leak near the top of the mask, near the bridge of your nose.
Have you downloaded and learned to use Sleepyhead software yet? It will tell you if you have leaks and how big they are.

Re: Wisp mask
I have the wisp as well. last night was the first time using it. I am having trouble with getting use to it. I thought i had a leak turnded out it was the air holes off the mask (not sure what they are called). What is the sleepytime software?

Good for you with the new post.
Did you select the machine type but it didn't display?
If that happened, the go back and fill in your machine information using the signature block and just put the text there.

Re: Wisp mask
Thanks for the reply. After a little experimenting, I found that the air blowing into my eyes was indeed a leak and not a vent issue. Kathie

If you are new you need to read all the stickies at the top of the main forum page. You will learn all about Sleepyhead and why you need to use it.
Then come back and ask lots of questions.

Re: Wisp mask
I love my wisp mask. Have been using it a almost 2 months now. The vent should not blow in your eyes but if your headgear moves it can cause leaking near the eyes. You might need to tighten your mask a tad bit to see if it helps.

Thank you for your replies. I'm investigating sleepyhead, not sure if my computer will support it. Have figured out that it is leaks I'm experiencing. Thanks again.

What "stickies" are you referring to. I'm feeling pretty dumb right now.bwexler wrote:If you are new you need to read all the stickies at the top of the main forum page. You will learn all about Sleepyhead and why you need to use it.
