Re: Ft. Lauderdale - Keep CPAP Machines with You!!

If I am running from a shooter I don't give a damn about my CPAP. The CPAP stays with me at all times. The speed at which I could run would not be much difference with or without the CPAP bag. Zig-zag. Some of the people had their stuff on the belts in the security area and had to leave everything....

Re: Woke up with CPAP breathing deep, heavy & fatigued.

So what do your sleepyhead graphs show?
Let's get real data instead of the stuff you are fantasizing about.

Breathing exercises are great for stress reduction and pain control when you are awake. They can also help you fall asleep None of the ideas apply when you are actually asleep.

Re: Anyone have worse sleep apnea after baby?

My apnea kicked in when I had my last and it got progressively worse.

That is what happens to some of us. One of my friends lost more eye sight with every pregnancy.

Re: I'm beginning to despair

There is software called sleepyhead see tutorial in above section. Install it, take screen shots, post them on photobucket and link them here. Tell us EXACTLY what machine you use and its settings. Get a copy of the clinical manual and learn to drive your machine. If you were a diabetic you would no...

Re: New member- what should full face mask feel like (suction?)

Using a liner helps make it both more comfortable and leak less. Having a soft piece of polar fleece on your skin is much preferable to the mask. A full face mask should sit on your face like a hovercraft. Remember a hovercraft works by inflating its skirts to make the best connection with the water...

Re: Want new machine after 11 years

Although a machine in good working order might not always be replaced after five years, I doubt that replacement of an eleven year old machine would be questioned. For one thing, the machine is probably not supported by the manufacturer, not even to verify that it is working correctly (even if it s...

Re: Newbie and Feeling Anxious!

Pick a good movie. Put the whole system on and watch the movie. The whole idea is to get your subconscious used to the idea that this is a Good Thing and you don't have to think about it. Yes 5 is very low and many of us feel "air hunger" at that low end. If you tell us EXACTLY what you are using we...

Re: Eating and sleep apnia

Maybe you sleep better and deeper when you don't eat late at night. More REM can cause a higher AHI for some people.

It is far better for your body to have a long "fasting" time, especially for insulin regulation.

You got sold a brick. They made extra profit off you. It doesn't record any data except hours used for them to get paid. Go up a model where the numbers start with 400+ That way you can keep your humidifier. Our host has this on sale https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-system-one-60-series-auto-mach...

Re: I don't have sleep apnea... I have catathenia...

You have "sleep disordered Breathing" That is why the official terms are no longer refers to "apnea"

Your SDB is treated effectively with an ASV so you can sleep without interruption.
