Great points palerider and kudos to ASAA for this program.

Having briefly volunteered for it, I did want to add that the person getting the donation has to be under the care of the doctor and that the machine is sent directly to the physician's office to be set up and for the person to pick up.

In the past, people also might get a machine if it qualified under the rules. But hopefully, with Resmed's huge donation, that won't happen anytime soon.
