Your signature shows that you are using a PR System One AUTO.

If you start or restart the machine without hitting the ramp button, the machine goes back to the minimum pressure setting when you use the machine in AUTO mode.

If you just hit the ramp button, the machine goes back to the beginning ramp pressure and it starts the ramp-up process all over. The beginning ramp pressure is less than the minimum pressure setting. So hitting the ramp button will decrease the pressure, but it may decrease the pressure so far that you start having events as soon as you fall back asleep. That's more likely to happen if the beginning ramp pressure is much lower than your minimum pressure setting AND your ramp-up time is extended.
Only 5.5 hours last night. Still over 4 hours, which is my goal, but I don't feel as good today as I did when I got 7+ hours.
The fact that you felt better when you got 7+ hours is going to help convince your body to tolerate the machine in the long run. Hang onto that---in other words, now that you've had a couple of 7+ hour nights where you felt better the next day, keep reminding yourself that this crazy therapy will work once you get the hang of it and are sleeping 7+ hours every night.
