Re: OT: Our house is a very, very very fine house(9-12 update)

Hey Zonker,
You're house is looking greatttt. I'm envious. I'd love to live in an area like that. (I grew up in outback Aust., and now live in the city. Ugh.).
Bet you can't wait to move in.
Wishing you continued good progress. 😊👍

Re: Going to N30i from F30i

Friday I got my N30i supplies in the mail Here is an update. I LOVE it. ..... this is almost a joy! It's funny that you would post this today, as I also use the N30i mask, and was just thinking this morning, "I LOVE this mask!!!!". I started off with the Resmed Mirage Quattro full-face mask, ...

Re: Depressed about CPAP Therapy

Don't worry about the AHI that the machine registers when you are awake. It is not a real AHI, and has nothing to do with what will happen when you use the machine when you're asleep. If you know what numbers your machine is set to, could you let us know in this thread. It sounds as though the max. ...

Re: Lungs burning after first time using CPAP

I got my ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP with nasal pillows in the mail a few days ago, and was instructed to try it out during the day first to acclimate to it. I was also told that I could use any tap or filtered water, although a lot of people opt for distilled. I didn’t have any distilled water, so I j...

Re: CPAP machine "serviced", not replaced

Over the years I had problems with a PR Series 50 machine - Philips replaced it, with two different Series 60 machines, Philips replaced both of them, with two different DreamStation machines, Philips repaired them (took two trips with one of them). I think Philips has made the cost analysis to rep...

Re: CPAP machine "serviced", not replaced

It's a bad thing....I was hoping that the breathing noise would go away with the mask off.  I have a fine line to walk here what with the forum owner being really big into free speech...even if that speech seems ugly at times. Where are you getting these machines from? A local store for ...

Re: Airsense 10 making noise

Hey guys I ordered myself a new airsense 10 autoset for her from the US and I tried it out last night for the first time. Seemed to work pretty well except there was a noise the obvious immediately. The machine has a fairly low level hum but then on inhale it makes a type of wheezing sound. I thoug...

Re: CPAP machine "serviced", not replaced

An update on my CPAP situation. As the guy at the store told me, everything inside the (faulty) new machine I originally bought was replaced except the shell, so in effect, the machine had been replaced. When I got it home, there was still a noise of breathing going through the air inlet as I breat...

Re: CPAP machine "serviced", not replaced

Would you try an experiment for me? Take your mask off the long hose and stick the mask end of the long hose in your mouth and breathe and turn the machine on....do you still hear the machine making a loud noise when you breathe and are using the machine without wearing the mask? Make sure water is...

Re: Suddenly struggling 6 months in

I'm wondering if there's anything in my charts to indicate a problem with my setup or breathing that's happening every night between 12:30 and 2am. I'm no expert on Oscar, but I don't think there's any data in those graphs that comes from between 12.30 and 2am. The "Events" graph, at the top, has b...

Re: Chin collapsing

I am discovering my problem with multiple masks has been that my chin collapses and kind of hands down and open. Full face masks tend to still leak. I saw on here you can use a cervical collar and I tried that before but will try again. The issue isn’t that my mouth hangs open it’s that my chin fal...

Re: So is OSCAR software similar to Sleepyhead software.

I'm a newbie, so I haven't used Sleepyhead, but I believe Oscar is like a newer/(presumably better) version of it. I have Oscar, and it's very handy. Here's the link to get it:-
https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/
It's easy to download. Best of luck.

Re: How to prevent drooling with a full face mask?

Before I ever started cpap therapy I rarely if ever dropped in my sleep. Lately, I have noticed that my mask liner is wet in the morning as a result of me drooling in my sleep when I sleep on my side. Has anyone else experienced drooling when using a FFM and what they did about it to prevent it? Di...
