Once I get there, it's out of my hands--for a while, that is.

I am taking a guess that you'll not have a chance to use your CPAP machine in the hospital b/c of noise and traffic. You might be better off taking sleep medications. Also, being an outpatient (staying no more than one night) has benefits of having less of a chance of being inflicted with those infections.

I will be serviced by the Respiratory department at St. E's. I have images of my settings on my phone.
I will bring my P10, and the anesthesiologist will be in charge of keeping me breathing during surgery.
I have been told there will be no intubation and no catheter. (Yay!)

I am scheduled for one or two nights--possibly a response to opposition by women's health advocates
to rampant "drive-through surgeries".
Not a spinal, but the On-Q device injects a local into nerve trunks somewhere near my wings, if I had any.
It is non-narcotic, starting before they knock me out, and continuing to pump for a day or two after I go home.
It reduces the comatose bowel effect from anesthesia.
With the pain pump and the Jackson-Pratt drains, I will be an odd sight indeed.
I meant no tube down my throat. Reason to rejoice.
I hope your recovery/treatment is going well.
I took Actos for a very short time, and stopped when I first heard of the problem.
My mother's doctor took her off it at the same time.

I went to the breast cancer support group last night, and it was an eye-opener in many ways.
I will definitely be going back. Cancer support groups are awesome!

Froggy, have you arranged "at home help" paying an agency $20 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours?
What pain medication will the hospitalists give you when you go home? Will it be Percocet (Oxycodone)? If yes, then I would skip it and take Advil or Tylenol instead, I would avoid narcotics if I could.

Thanks to the bullfrog, I have all I want--for free.
And the fringe benefits are rather nice, too.
Woot!
