Bad cold + Nasal mask= best AHI's ever????

Post by 348Win » Tue May 05, 2015 5:46 pm

My Index, read off my Icon usually is around the low 3. somethings. I have developed a bad cold and slept kind of upright in the corner of the couch and my AHI 2 nights ago was 1. Hmmm, lowest ever and only got 3 good hours of sleep before coughing and stuff kept me up. Had a good 6 hr sleep last night and just checked my AHI, was .6 last night, a new low record!! What the hell? Is it the cold or the position?

Did you maybe leave cookies out? Some aliens are partial to chocolate chip.

First of all, I'm not surprised. I've experienced similar results in the distant past using a full face mask.
I think part of your answer is your sleeping position. I also think some of it may be your breathing. It may be less congested sitting up but also more deliberate and somewhat different.
