Resmed Airsense 10 erasing SD card

Post by Gutsy911er » Tue May 05, 2015 2:13 am

I have searched the board, but cannot seem to find an answer to my problem. I have been removing the SD card from my airsense 10 to upload my dada to Sleepy head. every time I place the card back into my machine it formats the card and erases my data. any ideas on how to correct this?

I make sure that I lock the card before I place it into my computer, and I am using a Mac, not sure if that is what is causing my problems, but I would think that if the card is locked it may be a setting in the cpap itself?

thanks in advance for any thoughts

Does the Mac have a native sdcard slot, or are you using usb converter to put the sdcard into your Mac?
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

Normally, the problem is the other way, the card is seen as read only and you can't write to it.

First thing I would try would be to put the SDcard into the mac, and try to actually write something on it. If it lets you do that, and the sdcard is in the lock possition, then it means the card reader is not recognizing the lock button. Note that the lock button is just an indicator to the reader to not allow writes to the sdcard. It does not physically prevent it from being written on if the reader doesn't recognize it as being locked.

If after you test, you can write to the sdcard, you might look for a SDcard to USB adapter to use instead. Something like: http://www.amazon.com/eForCity-Memory-R ... B000Z9R2QQ, or prefer something more flexible like,http://www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-MicroSD-Re ... B0046TJG1U which allows the use of other card types as well.

Ok, so an update, it is something with my SD card or my machine I guess... I checked that my Mac is not writing to my card and this has been confirmed by trying to add files to the card on purpose. I have also tried the usb reader and got the same results.

additionally, the other day I removed the card from my CPAP then immediately placed it back into the machine and it showed reformatting card on the lcd screen, when I then removed it and placed it in my Mac to check it in Sleepy Head there was no data on it. I am stumped.... any ideas?

I would try a different SD card and see if that corrects the problem, any SD card will work
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!
