ResMed AirSense 10 for her use by males

Post by joelrk35 » Mon May 04, 2015 2:35 pm

Curious if any males are using the ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her. I have one on order. Are you using it in the for her mode? If so any feed back as to your experience, suggestions or other inputs.

I am afraid to use one. They might take my man card away. (poor attempt at humor alert. Don't want to be misunderstood here.. harrumph, harrumph)

Really, no issue that I can see, it simply adds a mode, that the user can use or not. Same price as the manly model!

Rumor has it that you will develop an urge to shave your legs.

I would consider any man using the white machine to be sophisticated, and manly.
A complete metro-technical.

The possibility that the additional features might be useful to non-females has been mentioned before.
The case color/design may have been a poor choice. Had the Skinit folks not abandoned the cpap market,
I would have considered springing for one just to protect the shell from sun damage.
White plastic turns the most putrid yellow!

they still make 'em for the s9, though you have to dig on their site to find it, it's under the custom/diy whatever section, (their site isn't responding at the moment) ....

maybe a politely worded letter would get them to consider making a template for the a*10 units, since they'd be easy as cake to skin... nice flat simple curves... easy peasy... easier to do than the s9 with all it's bits, (like 8 pieces)

I have the For Her model, but I've never used the Automatic For Her setting, only the regular Automatic, which is the same as the black model. Get an occasional RERA but not enough for the feature to be something I'd pay extra for.

The clinical manual describes the differences between the Automatic modes, that would be a starting point at least, even if you're looking for actual experiences.

Basically, it raises the pressure after 1 obstructed breath vs. 3 in a row, but it doesn't raise it as much. Also from what I understand it doesn't lower the pressure, which seems kind of ham-handed.
