Voltage requirements during foreign travel

Post by edheinhold » Sun May 03, 2015 1:54 pm

I am planning a trip to Italy this summer. Can I use my REMstar Pro C-Flex+ directly with the 220 volts available using only a plug adapter?

check the back of the power brick for the voltages it supports for a definitive answer

Check the label. I bet it requires no transformer.

The Respironics machine I got 15 years ago was dual voltage so there's a good chance yours is too.

It is my impression that present generation machines automatically accept AC from 100 to 240 V without complaint. My personal experience with a multivoltage machine
began with a Sullivan Bi_PAP back in year 2000. Initially, I was fearful so I first tested it with power from a 240V outlet in my shop and it was fine. After that I had the machine
in use in several European countries with no ill effects. Since then I have used a Respironics and a DeVilbiss on 240 V AC. Incidentally, there are a lot of socket variations in Europe, so I suggest checking on-line to be sure what configuration
is used in Italy. Triple AAA, RadioShack etc. have a variety of plug adadptes at a modest price.
