yes, same one, I didn't remember that there was a copy on the tnet site.BobP wrote:Ok, now that I have seen the newer posts on the page I didn't see before, let me again say thanks for all the help and try to answer your questions. I was able to download the clinical manual, thanks OkyDoky for the link. I'm assuming this is the same resource as Palerider mentions, right?

You will need a working SDcard slot on your computer to use this however. As it has to write to the data card.BobP wrote:The wireless SD card that Yaconsult mentioned sounds like the way to go. Can you give me a link for the one you use?

Re: Getting a Full Breath on CPAP
Of course, you would never answer yes when it asks if you want to format the card. The fact that it does so indicates that it does not recognize the filesystem type on the card. What kind of computer is it? Windows, Mac, or Linux?
As a safety measure, people are always advised to write protect the card before plugging it into their computer using the small tab on the side of the computer. The problem is remembering to unprotect it when you put it back into the machine. The machine will warn you if you don't, so pay attention to the display when putting it back.
This is the site for the free software used with the wireless sdcard: http://www.sleepmaster.org/ Be very careful to buy only one of the cards listed as supported. I bought a flashair 1 instead of a flashair 2 because it was cheaper. But I had to return it and upgrade to a supported flashair 2 card. It is very convenient to not have to remove the card from the machine any more. The files created by the cpap machine are very small, so size is not a problem. I chose which card based solely on price and being on the supported card list. My card came from B&H Photo in NY.

Re: Getting a Full Breath on CPAP
Talked to the guy who set me up with the machine. He said my numbers were indeed high (Events per hour = 21.9, AHI = 18.1, Total AI = 13.7, Central AI = 12.6) but it had only been 8 days and I should give it 2-3 weeks to see what happens. If they are still high after that, he'd send a report to my doc for next steps. Thoughts?
Also, a specific question. Most nights I have to take the mask off at least once to blow my nose, itch, etc. Should I turn off the machine or just let it blow thru the mask while it is off. I have it off for maybe 30 seconds.

In my opinion......that's a load of BS......either your settings are WRONG or you've been given the wrong machine.
Your results shouldn't be that high after you've been on therapy.
With regard to your question about turning your machine off to blow or scratch your nose, my preference is to turn it off.

Re: Getting a Full Breath on CPAP
I agree with Den...that central index is too high and I wouldn't wait 2 or 3 weeks either unless you are spending an inordinate amount of time while awake on the machine.
Sometimes awake breathing irregularities will be flagged as centrals and not be a true indication of what is going on but if you are asleep and having that many centrals then the doctor needs to know about it....sooner than later.
Can you post an image of a typical night where you know for sure you were asleep most of the night?

Re: Getting a Full Breath on CPAP
I can't give you any advice, but have often felt the "can't get a deep breath" sensation, and wondered what it is.
