Hi, Althea! I can heartily recommend this hose management system available from amazon for only $15: http://www.amazon.com/North-American-He ... 0034CHMRU/ Scroll down the page to see some customer images of it assembled and to read the reviews. As you can see, most people love it. You can slide it in between the bed and box spring wherever you like to get the best positioning. And the cord that attaches the loop at the top to the arm is elastic so it can pull out and springs back again so you have a lot of room to move the hose. It's also very portable for people if they travel with their cpap. I think this is the best cpap-related bargain I've found yet.

Before you go buying a hose management system please check with me. I have one...don't remember what kind but I will dig it out and check to see. It was donated a while back from someone who didn't need it.
It it is all there you can just have it.

althea,

I don't have any advice to offer you. I do have sympathy and empathy. What you are going through is significant and hard and difficult. And it sounds like there are no good options for you: Only less bad and more bad options is what you are dealing with.

I am glad that you posted for several reasons.

First, it should help newbies who are struggling with normal, run of the mill newbie problems to understand that what they are dealing with is NOT the worst thing ever ...

Second I'm glad you are not ranting about everything and anything. You've described what's going on factually with as much detail as you can given the litigation process you are involved in. You've also been patient in explaining why many of suggestions that have been made are not appropriate in your particular situation, and your explanations have been factual. In other words, you've made it clear that you appreciate people's efforts to help you even when what they've suggested is simply not a viable thing to try. While you may say you are whining, your posts don't come across as whining at all.

Finally, I'm also glad that you have found at least one idea (the hose hanger) that may make a small bit of a difference.
