Re: PR System One ASV crazy data
We have rebooted. We don't have Encore, but the DME uses it, and as I have a pulmonologist appointment on Thursday, I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask them to get Encore data from the DME. I just hope that between them they can/are willing to make that happen. That should address the who's the ...

Re: PR System One ASV crazy data
We'll try that. A couple of questions -
-Can we then copy the data from our hard drive back onto the card, and will the ASV then add data sequentially?
-Will Sleepyhead then understand that, or do I risk losing the good data that I have in there?
Thanks!

PR System One ASV crazy data
HI! Haven't been here in a long time as things were going as well as they are going to go. Technical question - all of a sudden, as of January 29 (yes, I don't load data into Sleepyhead so often anymore), my PR System One ASV started writing absolute babble on its card. Things like, I supposedly onl...

Re: Its not a "journey".
FWIW, my wife's thyroid tests all showed her levels to be in the "normal" range, right up until she went to the ER with Afib due to a thyroid imbalance. The standard/cookie cutter test that's normally given isn't particularly exhaustive IMO. If you can find an endocrinologist to evaluate you, you m...

Re: OT: Windows 10 becoming automatic download
I waited for a while after Windows 10 came out, until the inevitable first big bug fix came out, and then installed it. It worked fine with my software, including Sleepy Head, but promptly locked me out of all of my subdirectories for things like MS Word ("You must be an administrator..." with no re...

Re: If I never have another sleep study it will be too soon
If I never have another sleep study it will be too soon This pretty much says it all for me. A colonoscopy comes in pretty close in similar thoughts. Den. The colonoscopy was easy. Even interesting to watch . The sleep studies, on the other hand.... From a total of SIX sleep studies (2 home, 4 in-l...

Re: Numbers look good. Overly tired feeling.
I've had the same issues. My TSH was in the "normal" range but trending upward. When it got over 4, my endocrinologist started treating it. I know the "subclinical hypothyroidism" thing is controversial, but for me, anyway, it made a noticeable difference to daytime sleepiness. I still have hot flas...

Re: I’m sleeping on the side, and I can’t get the F10 to work
If you end up back with the F10, this is where buckwheat hull pillows have the advantage. I am also a side sleeper. I sneak my finger in under where the protruding mask parts are, and shove the buckwheat away from the mask so it's not pushing on my nose and face, but so that I don't feel like I'm sl...

Re: Can an ENT make a difference?
What Granny said.
Focus on your nose. If you can breathe through your nose, you have a better chance of finding a mask you can live with. An ENT can also point out any other airway issues you might have, many of which don't need surgery.
Good luck.

Re: Resmed Warning for eBayers?
My husband wrote to and then called Resmed because he wanted extras of those gray elasticky covers for the plastic flanges on my F10 mask frame. (I keep telling him not to bother; we can make them/get Padacheek products/or, gee, use one of the replacement masks we keep getting...but whatever.) Resme...

Re: Importance of Sleep Study Nurse (Theory)
Actually they usually (often?) are Respiratory Therapists, with specialized training. They may or may not have nursing qualifications. Mine was a male, who was good at his job, and perhaps more importantly, a CPAPer himself, so he got the issues involved with mask fitting, getting used to having air...

Re: BCBSTN Denies Sleep Apnea Surgery
Wow. That doesn't even make sense. I'm a lawyer and I can't figure out what they are trying to say there. One problem is that UPP isn't widely regarded as effective for treating sleep apnea. The opinions I've read, heard and seen here is it's a lot of pain for not a lot of gain in that regard. Howev...
