Please note that I am NOT suggesting that you make a big change to your settings. Take your advice from the wonderful voices of experience here.

I just want to say that some of us need a higher minimum pressure to counter a lot of events. I currently have my minimum pressure set at 13.5 and max at 20 and my AHI is usually under 0.5 so this works well for ME. I wish that there was an easy way for everyone to find out what works best for them, but it's all trial and error, guided by the knowledge of the helpful folks here.

I am glad that you are adapting to therapy so quickly - you're one of the lucky ones. I was too - my apnea was so severe that cpap made a huge immediate improvement and I haven't missed a single night since getting it.

Hi folks,

I've been raising my minimum pressure over the last two weeks. My pressure is now set at 13-17.

But still I get a lot of clustering and my AHI is always between 3-4.

Any optimization advice?

The report you show above is for April 16 when the pressure was 8 min and 17 max.
What does a report look like with 13 min and 17 max?

The 3 AM thing...probably REM stage sleep and if that is the only cluster you see and it isn't horrible and you slept well then I don't know that I would try to eradicated every last event.

Nathan,

The data you just posted is for the night of April 16 and it still shows your pressure setting at 8-17.

Can you share a night of data with your pressure setting at 13-17 since that's what you are now using?

That cluster of OAs at around 3:20 shows the pressure maxing out at 17 so maybe it would have gone higher if it could have. How much higher we don't know. That was the only real time it maxed out though.
If it were me I would maybe try another 0.5 to 1.0 increase in the minimum and open maximum up to 20 and let the machine decide...assuming you don't have any aerophagia problems pop up if the machine does want to go higher than 17.

There are 2 things that cause a pressure increase....REM stage sleep and supine sleeping. Pretty much one or the other or maybe a combination of both.
