Problem setting Remstar Series M

Post by old_man » Sat Apr 18, 2015 12:22 pm

I picked up a used Remstar Series M model 1022334 for use on the road. I can't seem to get it programmed.

I have read all the info and watched the videos but they all are for the unit with the three buttons on the top. Mine has only two control buttons visible when the top is closed. When I perform the power up with the arrows held down, it does not go into the programming mode.

Does anybody have any info on the magic incantation required for this unit.

Have you been here and to the proper manual for whichever M series machine you have?
There's some quick guides and full manuals.

Holding down the 2 arrow buttons at the same time while plugging the little plug into the back of the machine should work. I did it often with my M series machine and I think that little step should work with all the M series machines.

According to the service manual for the M Series machines, that "model number" you referenced is the humidifier model number.
You need to open the lid and press the two (top) opposing arrow buttons down (on either side of the LCD screen) while you plug it in and wait for two beeps.

Accessing provider mode unlocks additional settings that cannot be modified while in user mode. To access provider mode:
1. Plug the AC power cord into the power supply and an electrical outlet, as described in Chapter 3.
2. Hold down both the left and right <- -> buttons while simultaneously plugging the power supply into the device.
Once the device beeps twice, it is in provider mode and you can release the buttons.
You can view and modify prescription settings using the Provider Setup screens and view data about device usage on the Provider Data screens.
To navigate the display screens:
• Use the button to navigate to the next screen and the button to navigate to the previous screen.
• Use the + and — buttons to adjust the settings on the Setup screens.

And, if that isn't good enough or if you need a "visual aid", check out this link:
