ResMed s8 stuck Ramping, please help!

Post by Guest » Sat Apr 18, 2015 6:57 am

Good Afternoon, ladies and gents

I recently purchased a second hand ResMed s8 Unit, it worked fine for a couple of days but it now seems to be stuck on the ramping screen, I can't access any of the menus even if I try and used the 'clinician' trick.

Any help would be most welcome,

Thanks,

Pandacat!

Have you tried unplugging it, waiting a minute, then starting it again?

The S8 has open-contact switches which have a corrosion problem, causing them to get stuck. There was an old thread with instructions on how to fix it:

The instructions look simple if you have a background in electronics, but I haven't tried them. Good luck. I switched from an S8 Autoset II to a PR System One DS560 two nights ago.
