Need help with my S9

Post by knothead » Fri Apr 17, 2015 1:27 pm

Anyone know how to tighten the electrical plug on the back side of a Resmed S9, for some reason mine is loose as a goose...

Yes sir that plug where the power supply plugs into. Mine is very loose. I hate to take it apart but I may have to.

How long have you had it? Resmed has a 2 year warranty.

well, the power plug is mounted on a plastic frame, if you dropped the machine with the plug attached, I suppose you could break the mounting.

it won't affect things electrically since the plug is connected via wires to the main board.

If it is broke you could take it apart a glue it back with some Gorilla glue or something like that.

PR is known for taking these apart...and even successfully reassembling them. He took pics of the process good enough that I tore down an almost new s9 vpap, cleaned it to get rid of smoke stink, And stuck it back together.
Bonus? No "spare parts" or rattles, AND it works!
I can't vouch for anyone else yet.

quite an accomplishment for someone who, seemingly proudly, proclaims

The machine is my backup, if its plastic with no way to tighten then I may just use superglue on it. It has never been dropped (unless management did it cleaning...lol), its about 5 years old so no warranty and serves quite well for a nap machine. I just thought there was some way to tighten a lock nut or something kinda like a toggle switch has. PR thanks for the pics, now I know what the thing looks like inside and looks easy enough to open up. I think glue will do just fine, thanks for reply's....
