Re: S9 hose setting

Different size climate tubes does seem strange. And Clay's point about how the machine knows which is which is another good point. My guess is additional diameter on the Max Oxy is to allow for at least 2 liters per minute of supplimental oxygen, but I'll find out when tech support opens tomorrow an...

Re: System One heater turns off after 2 hours

I think Janknitz hit the nail on the head. I remember years ago when testing the Respironics humidifiers, we had to totally block the outflow of air from the machine. If we didn't do that, no current would flow to the heater plate. Sounds like the air coming out of your mouth may be causing enough l...

Re: For Sale PR System One REMstar BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex

That's quite a low number of hours.

If you don't sell it here you might try http://secondwindcpap.com/.

Good luck, I have had many many clients with that machine that have done very well.

Re: Oxygen tubing connectors

Hi Clay,

Here's the another link to the product that Squid13 was referring to. Don't know why it's so hard to find it on the manufacturers sight. The item number is 36996.

Hope that helps.

Re: Sleep Apnea and Cardiac Risk

That's an excellent article for sure!

Thanks for posting that.

I found another study done in Germany in 2011 that seems to compliment. It supports that it is never too late to begin xPAP treatment.

I have not read that particular book. There are others out there however, a bit more reasonably priced.

Re: Portable Oxygen Concentrators

Accomodating for traveling oxygen needs can be quite challenging indeed. Unless you have your own Lear jet and concierge staff, it usually means either prearranging a concentrator at each of your destinations or taking a portable one with you. Keep in mind, only a concentrator that offers continous ...

Re: 1st night done...many more to go :) Mask issue??

Without actually seeing how the mask fits, going just by your description, yes I do believe your mask may be a size too large. The fact you say it leaks at the bridge of your nose is a good indicator you are wearing it too high up. The latest FFM usually sit mid-bridge on the nose. On top of your ch...

Re: I can't do it!

Does your machine have a heated humidifier? If it does I would recommend turning it up. A week or so ago, a contributor posted a wonderful link about how important humidity is in a cpap circuit. Dry air is almost sure to cause a reaction in your upper airway. Your machine is helping push the air in,...

Re: New Machine...Help

The number 5 is either your ramp start pressure or humidifier setting. Both are good unless you are getting rainout or condensation in your tubing. In that case I would turn your heater down to 3 or 4. Feeling exhausted after one night is quite common. It usually takes people a few days to acclimate...
