Trying new masks

Post by Sleepy Bubba » Tue Mar 31, 2015 7:03 am

Hi, I have been using my CPAP since January 1, and am very pleased. However, my mask continues to leave me with marks on my face every morning, despite many small adjustments.............I called my supply house, and they wanted me to come up for a "fitting".............translation: charge me for an office visit............Is there a company where I can try masks?

Hi, you probably will have trouble finding any mask that doesn't leave a little mark in the a.m., though I hope you're not overtightening to get it sealed well - shouldn't do that if it's otherwise fitted properly.

The best answer a lot have found is to use Padacheek.com 'liners' - go look at what they sell and you'll understand. I (nor the website) are looking for business, but recommend them to members (the designer is one herself) because they work. Good luck!

I have never heard of a supply house (DME) charging to try on masks. If they do...GET RID OF THEM!

Good morning friends. An update on my face marks...........decided to bite the bullet and purchase Pad a Cheeks for my mask. They came in and they work perfectly!! Marks gone..........Took a night or two to get used to them, but they are very comfortable, and I am pleased. I would suggest the use of them to anyone who has trouble with the marks. Cost my $35 for the four of them, but I have to think they will last quite a while.

The Padacheek strap covers are well made and will last a long, long time with common sense good care.
I still have my side/cheek strap covers for my Swift FX bought in spring of 2010 and used religiously nightly until I changed from the Swift FX being my primary mask some 3 1/2 years after that.
I would still use them if for some reason I had to use that mask again...they look as good now as the day I bought them. I still a Swift FX and those straps handy just in case I need or want to go back to it.

Karen uses quality material in all her products.
