Technical questions on Sleep Master & SleepyHead

Post by calusa » Mon Mar 23, 2015 3:32 am

I've been using SleepyHead for about a year and have become pretty confident about how it works.

Sleep Master's concept of letting me pull the data from my CPAP machine without removing the SD card sounded too good to be true, so naturally I had to try it! My first Flashair SD card turned out to be defective, but with a replacement card I ultimately got it working, though I'd never be able to explain all the things I tried that DIDN'T work; Sleep Master isn't for the faint of heart or those easily discouraged!

Somewhere during the process I've messed up SleepyHead. I'm trying to use (or at least view) an earlier profile that has all my customized settings for the graphs. Whenever I click on "Different Folder" in the "Select Profile" dialog box, SleepyHead crashes. I've tried switching to the 32-bit version of the software, and tried both versions ('broken' and 'open').

Can anyone guess what might be causing these crashes?

I can't help you with Sleepyhead, but I can with Sleep Master since I wrote it.

Make sure you have the latest version of Sleep Master - v2.0.1.32, and be sure to check the FAQ page at http://www.sleepmaster.org/faq.html.
There is important information there regarding using the FlashAir in station mode.

I still haven't figured out my Sleepyhead technical problem, but I've recreated my old settings in the only profile that doesn't crash the software, so I'll consider that problem solved.

Now Sleep Master isn't working -- thanks for that URL, it has some ideas that may help me get it back up and running, and the new version might help too!

I have never gotten my flashair to work with my S9. I can't get it to quit formating the card and erasing the setup files.

Must not be setup correctly. I use it ever day, typically right after I get up. Setup can be a pain a bit, depending on what mode you chose, how close your machine is to your access point or workstation.
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1
