Did your doctor say why he was prescribing Klonopin? That's not a standard treatment for a-fib out, as far as I know. It sounds like he thinks your symptoms are anxiety-related (although a-fib is *not* caused by anxiety). If that's the case, you might benefit from cognitive-behavioral therapy. I would strongly caution against the use of Klonopin unless you really need it, and then for as short a period and in as small a dose as possible. I can say from experience that Klonopin carries a high risk of dependency.

It's a good bit irksome that someone who has such an attitude comes to a CPAP forum discouraging new members.Too tall wrote:If your AHI is below 5, move on to another diagnosis. And believe me, you don't want to have to wear this contraption for the rest of your life. It's a curse for me. If you need it, it'll save your life possibly but don't wish for apnea, it's no picnic wearing this crap every night.
It's a blessing, not a curse, for me to be able to live a full life because CPAP is available and highly effective.
I carry my CPAP everywhere and travel often with it - cars, planes, trains, subways.
You might want to examine your attitude and consider what life would be like without CPAP.

OP said her doc prescribed klonopin for the suspected REM behavior disorder. The Latinist wrote:Did your doctor say why he was prescribing Klonopin?
