I would suggest a straight pressure of 10 or 11 and try that out for a few nights. You've got lots of flow limitations occurring as the pressures get higher than that.......and fewer "events" at around the pressures I suggested.

But is the higher pressure caused by the flow limitations or are the flow limitations causing higher pressure? How to tell?

I think you meant in part of your question........ Do the higher pressures cause or increase flow limitation? (I think you asked the same question in different ways.)

Probably no way of knowing for sure. But, it's suspicious as there are fewer flow limitations at lower pressures.
On the other hand, Autos DO raise pressures on flow limitations and snores. That's a "given".

Either all the files from the SD card or the export from SH.

Last night I raised the pressure to 6-16 (before it had been 4-14). I had a good night--but was also able to sleep in because it is Sunday. I could have slept in yesterday but woke up at 6:30. I wish there was some way I could reset my sleep cycle so I could get to sleep earlier. Currently I usually go to sleep around midnight and am really tired when I have to get up at 6 or 7. (the times on Sleepyhead seem to be off a bit).

That looks very decent! 1.4!

I would suggest leaving it right there for at least five days, then you can decide if any more tweaking seems warranted.

I'm sticking by my fixed pressure recommendations. You aren't having enough events to warrant that kind of a pressure range.
And, you'll probably sleep better, too.

Try Bright Light Therapy as soon as you get up.

One supposed miracle fix is to stop eating 12 to 16 hours before you want to get up. Then have a good breakfast after you wake up. May or may not work, but is cheap, fairly easy, and probably safe.

If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check for yourself.

Well it would probably be a good weight loss technique if nothing else.

The DME phoned on Thursday and told me the Resmed F10 for her they ordered for me is in. I'm supposed to go in Wednesday , in two days, to pick it up and return the S9 loaner I'm using now. I still don't know what the results of the hospital sleep study are. Dr. appointment to discuss it isn't for another two weeks. I had made up my mind to go ahead and buy the damned thing since my extended health plan will pay 95% of the exorbitant price the DME is charging ($2300). But tonight I can't sleep and have a headache (I very rarely get headaches ) so I took the mask off. It is 2:30 AM here in the Pacific time zone.

I have an idea to turn the pressure down to , say, a range of 6 to 7 or 8, as a sort of test. If I have a low AHI at that pressure maybe I don't need Cpap. I'm going to get up and take a tylenol , and turn the pressure down, then maybe put the mask back on and try to get to sleep.

If the DME didn't seem so shady and clueless I would feel more confident about buying the machine.

I'd try 7 or 8 to 14 and see how that works

Yeah that's a bit steep.

You should get it from cpap.com as they only charge 149$:
