Re: Newbie, picking out a mask with severe allergies
I would consider looking into a full face mask(FFM) in case you can't breathe out of your nose due to your Allergies. Some have a FFM as a backup for reasons like this. I personally use a FFM full time because at high pressures my mouth opens. The search for the right mask can be difficult and long....

Re: CPAP / central sleep apnea
Hi I have been using CPAP for 2 years and have had limited success and I am now off work. I received results from new sleep study and the results show central sleep apnea is main concern. My AHI is 22 with cpap with 19 being a result of central sleep apnea. Has anyone had better success on Bipap or...

Re: Brand new to board... a few questions before I get my CPAP
I have had my sleep study, but not the follow up visit to discuss and get my machine, which will occur this coming Monday. The study technician was nice enough to answer a few of my questions and give me a little info. I have both central and OSA. I am 37, 185lbs, male. I am not sure how many event...

I agree with you. I live in Indiana but have a NY phone number which I had for over 10 years. Phone numbers now a days are mobile. People are just wary of newcomers trying to sell items.

Re: just an introduction.
'lo folks. i'm micah. i just picked up my first bipap machine today, a phillips respironics 760 (system one). my AHI is 101.3 which i guess is ridiculously high. my pressure level is so high (22/18) that even with the ramp up option on in my test run in the store i felt like i couldn't exhale, so i...

With that AHI of 2.88 I don't think there is anything to worry about. but it wouldn't hurt to show any doctor you see so they know what you are experiencing .

Re: ResMed S9 AutoSet CPAP Machine Available - No More Apnea!
I'm more concerned that the OP assumes he/she has no more SA. Weight loss is not a magic bullet. It might rid you of type 2 diabetes symptoms but not SA as far as I know. I mean God bless you if you are cured but I'd hold on to that machine till you have gone a year or two with no issues. I've lost...

Re: Morning tooth pain - At my wits end
You can buy a Double sided Mouth guard locally at a local pharmacy or sporting good store. Make sure you get one you can mold by boiling it and putting it in your mouth and biting down on it. I heard these work very well and worth trying before spending over 3000 on a device from a dentist.

Re: PRS1 Card Slot Repair
How old is the machine? If it is less then 2 years old it may be covered under the warrantee. I would call the DME if it was under 2 years old and they may just replace it with a new machine or get it repaired.

Re: Embarrassed - but
Gosh I drool right now without a mask and treatment which I should be starting this week hopefully. Don't be embarrassed by it, drooling is normal at night especially if your dreaming of good things.

Update on my journey
Heard from my Doctor today and he is officially ordering me the Philips Respironics ASV Machine even though I requested the Resmed Aircurve but due to their software limitations they recommend the PR System so hopefully soon I hear from the DME company to set up an appointment to deliver or for me t...
