Morbius, are you bored?
Re: Control III how to use
Summary:
Read the label.
Full concentrate is nasty stuff. Once properly diluted, it's fairly benign.
Wash and your equipment. Soak for 10 minutes in a 1 ounce per gallon solution of Control III, rinse and pat dry.
Me, I'd wash it again after Control III and rinsing.

A. Concentrated Control III Disinfectant, as it comes straight out of the bottle, is a primary skin and eye irritant. One should avoid contact with the concentrate on skin and in eyes.

Re: Control III how to use
I've used Control III for over two years and haven't had any negative issues with it. I do use it diluted as specified on the back label, plus I rinse afterwards with fresh tap water after a total soaking of about an hour. BTW, you don't actually have to fill your hose or tank brim full with diluted solution - it says on the label that wetting the surfaces is adequate for cleaning. I fill my hose with about two cups of diluted solution, then slosh it about and hang it up (both hose ends upward, ie. leaving the same solution in the bottom of the loop). Later I slosh it around some more and so on and so forth. Total treatment time for my hose or tank is about an hour, as I said. My two year old hose looks like new every time I check it. I just think of Control III as super soap, which is basically what it is. EDIT: I don't particularly like the smell of Control III in my newly cleaned and rinsed hose the first night I use it, therefore I put a bar of my wife's fancy hand soap near the intake port of my CPAP machine... voila, smell masked. The next night the smell is entirely gone, so no more hand soap is needed.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
