AS 10 and sleepyhead compatibility.

Post by gulfjack » Thu Mar 26, 2015 12:41 pm

My wife recently got an ResMed airsense 10. I have been on a Respironics system one for over a year. I use encore basic and sleepyhead and get good daily details. On the other hand I use rescan for my wife's as10. It has little detail so I tried sleepyhead for her's and it does not show daily details. Downloaded it from a link I found on this site. Does anyone know if SH can show daily details.
Thanks
Jack

My husband and I both have the Airsense 10 and I use Sleepyhead to see our daily detail. Works great!

I see you tried it though and it didn't work for you. I'm not a technical person so I can't help with figuring out why. Hopefully someone else will be along shortly to help you figure out how to get it to work.

Thanks for the reply Sharrykb. One thing I left out was I'm using win7 64 bit. What system are you using?

I have the same OS, use the same machine, and I get all the details in Sleepyhead. I import the data from the machine's SD card into Sleepyhead.

Please make sure that you're using SH version 0.9.8.1-testing. Earlier versions don't support AS10's. Here is the link to Sleepyhead if you don't have it:

AMK...The version of SH I have says 32 bit but works with my sys one on my 64 bit machine. I even opened another acct on SH with my wife's sd card and it displays CPAP statistics, no daily results. I get a big that says my "machine does not record useful data to graph in daily view"
Any Ideas?
Thanks..Jack

Ahhh..Thank You. I see there is a 64 bit version. If I can find an uninstall for my 32 bit I will install the 64 bit.

Is it posible that your wife's new machine is the Airsense CPAP model, as opposed to Airsense Elite, Airsense AutoSet, if so, the base model called simply the Airsense CPAP does not record detailed, or high resolution flow data, it will only record compliance (usage data) and maybe AHI, but not detail flow graph data.

No uninstall is needed for SleepyHead, since it doesn't "install" anything.

The 32 bit version should work on 64 bit machines. Be sure it says it's version 0.9.8-1 at the top of the SleepyHead window.

I'm just running the 32 bit Sleepyhead. I share the concern others have expressed here that your wife may not have a machine that records data.

I think y'all have diagnosed the problem. It is an air sense 10 CPAP and doesn't save daily details. I've been wracking my brain trying to find out why I could not get my wife's sleep details but could get mine on sleepyhead. It has cellular communication and you can see daily how ResMed scores you on their website, no details, just their score in different areas, so to me their report is useless. Had we known this we would have gone with a Phillips System One. The machine is only 3 weeks old so maybe we can get the DME to switch to a Respironics. Thanks everyone for your help.

The Airsense Elite model, and the two Airsense AutoSet models (Autoset, and Autoset For Her model) do have detailed and high resolution data reporting, so maybe one of those models might work for your wife, the Elite is a straight cpap but with all the data.

I think the A10 CPAP does collect limited data such as daily AHI numbers. I'm not sure whether or not SleepyHead can display this data, but ResScan should be able to see the data.

Do you see AHI numbers in the "overview" page in SleepyHead?

I'd love to have a copy of your A10 CPAP SD card data if you are willing to share it. I won't share it without permission, but consider the privacy implication.

I'd like to see what data SH will show for an A10 CPAP.

If you're willing to share, see this link.

I highly recommend the machine I'm using (see below). This one records RERAs and that's been important for me. I don't think any other machine on the market reports RERAs including the other A10's. (RERA = respiratory effort related arousal).
