Re: Mask Fitting Tomorrow

Hey Everyone, Thanks for the advice, I ended up seeing the DME yesterday and got an Resmed Airfit P10. I ended up getting some Lanolin ointment as well to help with any soreness in my nostrils. Night one went very well, in fact, I wish I had given the nasal pillows a try sooner. I found it much easi...

Mask Fitting Tomorrow

Hey Everyone, I just completed my 21st day of APAP treatment. So far, things have been going very well aside from some mask irritation that's occurring on the bridge of my nose. I've also had a lot of difficulty side sleeping as my nasal mask always shifts around when pressure is put on the side of ...

Re: Can't breathe, can't sleep

Hey, I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling. I'll start off by saying I'm really new to CPAP, just started treatment a week ago. That being said, I felt the same way my first couple of days on the machine. I found the following things helped me: If your using a really wide pressure range like 4-2...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Thanks Pugsy and Okydoky, your help was instrumental in getting me there! Last night my sleep was about the same, I think I've got the hang of it! Its been a week now and I haven't had to many problems! As I said yesterday, I think I have my mask issues sorted out too. There's a very fine line betwe...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Last night felt like a pretty good sleep. I slept for about 7 hours uninterrupted. I also think I finally have my mask fit correct as the red lines I have been complaining about were barely visible this morning and faded away within a few hours. My mask leak also appeared to be much better last nigh...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Hey everyone, I gave a min pressure of 7.0 a try last night and I found it works even better, so thank you so much for that tip! I tried to loosen my mask up a lot last night and it definitely shows in my Sleepyhead graphs. I did have a lot more leak than the previous night, I believe 7% of the time...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

I agree with OkyDoky's suggestion of a little more minimum. For how to show the images...the image below is what I like to see on the detailed page...and it includes the AHI breakdown on the left. For mask lines...man, that's tough because some people just get lines easier than others. Part of it i...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Your graphs look good but go ahead and leave the details on the left, they have a lot of useful info. You can turn off the calendar by clicking on the little triangle by the date. Also the pie graph doesn't really give alot of info so you can turn it off by going into the file- preferences- appeara...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Overall you look good on paper and nothing that you have shown above screams out "fix me". Only 4 days of therapy though so not really very long at all. Seems to show a lot of rather significant pressure changes throughout the night...probably in response to flow limitations (next time you can incl...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Sounds and looks like you are doing good. On the screen shot what is typically requested is the daily page, detail tab on the left, you can turn off the calendar for more room, then on the right event flags, flow, pressure, leaks, snores flow limitations. resize and drag as needed. On yours the flo...

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Hey everyone, I downloaded sleepyhead this morning and imported my data into it. I'm still reading over the manual to try and understand how to use this wonderful tool. Anyways, here's my results from last night, can anyone help me analyze this please? http://i.imgur.com/lUACJih.png http://i.imgur.c...

Re: Just ordered sleepweaver anew full face mask. Any reviews?

I've been doing pap treatment for a few days now and I'm using a Philips Respironics Wisp Nasal mask. I've found it very comfortable and it seals up nicely for me using the large mask. There is also a small/medium and extra large mask included. I tried all of them and found large worked best for me.

Great, thanks everyone! I will download Sleepyhead tonight and give it a try. I think I may have read an older post and got confused. =)

Re: My First Week of APAP Treatment

Many of us feel like it is difficult to breathe at 4 and increasing to 6 will probably help. I think your next step should be to get the software that allows you to see what that auto pressure is doing. Check out these sites for help on downloading Sleepyhead. https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleep...

Re: My First Night of APAP Treatment

Sounds like a great first night. I'm a new CPAP user (since last firday). I think my first night was my best night oddly enough. haha Last night I woke up with my left ear horribly plugged (still plugged and driving me crazy). Good luck to you!! Hey Souffoue, Thanks for the encouragement. I hope yo...
