Can some ResMed AirSense 10 owner do me a favor?

Post by archangle » Thu Mar 26, 2015 8:13 am

I'd like to get an image of the SD card for some long term A10 machine. It would need to be an Elite or AutoSet model. It should be someone who's been using the machine for at least 45 days or so, but the longer the better.

I want to verify how long it holds the data. I believe they've improved the period of time that it keeps the airflow and other data.

If you're willing, create zip or 7-zip copy of the file, upload to Dropbox, and post or send me the link.

If you don't want the world to be able to see it, send me the link in a PM. If you're extra paranoid, encrypt it with 7-zip and send me the key.

I am on day 44 but I can do this. What file do you need? Or do I copy the contents of the card and zip it?

Oh I see this has something to do with making an image file. I'll see if I can figure that out.
*edit: I must apologize; I'm in over my head. I have no idea how to make an image file from an SD card and google isn't helping me.

Thanks.

Open up "my computer". Click on the entry for the SD card. Select "copy."

Open up another directory and "paste" into that directory. Rename it to something useful. That's what I'm calling an "image."

That's how I keep copies of all my S9 data. I have a directory called "S9," and I give each copy (image) of my SD card a name with today's date, such as 150326 for 2014/03/26.

Zip up the directory you just created and upload to dropbox.

I dunno, maybe it's an operating system thing, but I have never used these terms. I just copied what was on the card into a folder and zipped the folder. I don't copy the whole SD card on a daily basis. I guess I hoped that Sleepyhead would import and back up the data. I can see how copying the card would make it easy to create a new SD card should the one in use fail, but a complete copy on a daily basis would add up file-size-wise. Hopefully what I sent will help!

Got it. It appears to be all the data for 44 days, including full airflow waveforms. It's 122 MB worth of data for 44 days.

Thanks.

If anyone's got a longer span of data, let me know and we'll do some longer tests, but it's obviously a great improvement over the S9's 7 days.

Yes, I'd like to know its limits too. I just realized from the other thread discussing this that only the compliance data gets sent over the airwaves. No wonder the sleep nurse has had no idea what was actually going on. Nobody ever asked to see my SD card. I am the only person looking at my graphs.

Actually, I think far more than the "compliance" data gets sent. They get at least the nightly average on AHI and some other things. No airflow waveforms, and not sure about info on when during the night that apneas occur.

well, for what it's worth... the manual says "Summary data (compliance data)" so likely whatever data shows up on the airview app, since that's where it's data comes from.

Let me figure this out. I have had my since November. You are not going to try and hijack my machine are ya? I have to figure out my dropbox log in. i couldn't figure out how to do the 7 zip compression without sending an email so I did the old way. You can share the info with Jedi Mark and his group that work on SH. I will send the link via pm.

Thanks. We have a new record. 132 days, 345 MB worth of uncompressed data.

It appears that all data, including airflow waveforms, is still there even from day one.

I'd also be very interested in seeing an image from an AirSense 10 "CPAP" model. i.e. the base model, not an Elite, or AutoSet.
