Are you using the ramp feature when you are starting off the night?

If you claim aerophagia, then you are swallowing, and since during swallowing, the soft palate and the uvula move superiorly to close off the nasopharynx, what you are describing is exactly what is supposed to happen.

If that didn't happen, you would have a problem (VPI).

On a hunch I tried laying on the couch. For three days I had no issues falling asleep. Didn't have the issue of the collapsing airway. I flattened my bed and started sleeping on my side again. I haven't had any issues with my airway collapsing while falling asleep. I guess it didn't matter what pressure I use I can't stop my airway from collapsing while I sleep on my back. Even with my upper body elevated the collapse still happened.

The reason I've been sleeping on my back with the upper body elevation is to stop back pain and aerophagia. Since laying on my back I've learned to positron my hips to stop back pain. It's been working well for a few days. The aerophagia it's back but not severe

As for pressure settings, I've been lowering the ps with no airway collapse. Right now the settings are epap 18.2 ps 5 and ipap os set at 25 max
