According to SleepyHead it says the S9 VPAP STAMER model (which I think is ST-A and I don't know what MER means) used in VPAP S mode...so no backup rate and the report flow rate looks like VPAP S pressure and flow.
I *think* it's an ST (AMERican) model.
maybe the machine was in CPAP mode in december?
zooming in on some of the apneas and looking at mask pressure would show whether there's any FOT happening.

Mode is showing "S". The only changes made since getting the machine have been the pressures and mask settings. This is the only machine I have used.

When you say the mode is showing "S", that's not the same as what *machine* you are using.
Are you using a VPAP ST in "S" mode? Or are you using a VPAP S in "S" mode? It's important in figuring out what's going on

I'm pretty sure s mode is s mode.. whether it's from a S, ST or AUTO machine.

I'm trying to clarify what *machine* and what *mode* Sharhamm is using. Her profile indicates her machine is a VPAP S, but the ResScan shot indicates her machine is a VPAP ST.
The VPAP ST can be run in S mode. So I'm trying to get Sharmamm to tell us whether her machine is a VPAP ST running in S mode or a VPAP S running in S mode, which is the only mode a VPAP S can run in, if I recall.

We don't see very many S9 VPAP ST machines here on the forum and it is very possible that the UAs shown here in SleepyHead are just a product of the machine and SleepyHead just like my Adapt reports show me only UAs and then "Apneas" on ResScan.
It looks like it happens even when in regular VPAP S mode....so probably more of a product of the machine model and not the mode of operation.
That's the only explanation I can think of but it doesn't explain why it showed OAs in December which OP feels sure she saw.
I am thinking that VPAP S mode on the VPAP ST doesn't report things like VPAP S mode on the VPAP S model machine and instead is going to dump both centrals and obstructives in the "Apnea" basket like the Adapt does.
This lack of separation is probably the only negative I have with my Adapt. While I understand the reasoning behind it...I don't like it and would much rather have it separate the 2 so that I can be sure like the PR S1 ASV models do.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
If you want to try the Eclipse mask and want a special promo code to get a little off the price...send me a private message.

Here is one of the December Event Wheels showing OA.
I feel so dumb not being able to get that SD copy sent off correctly and there is no one around that can help me.
If one shows up again I copy it and post.

that is true, however the S can also run in cpap mode.

Though the pie chart does indeed show about 40% of the events are OA, notice the breakdown above it shows none.

In VAuto or CPAP mode, these VPAP devices detect both obstructive and central sleep apneas (CSA).
Which I would take to mean that in the S, T, or ST mode apneas are not
classified as to obstructive or central and, therefore, are
"unclassified". Notice the OP's ResScan report labels them simply as "apneas" similar to the S8.
