Dori,

You and Mike have been a very special part of a very special group of people.

Your love for him, your determination to see that his care was all that a great and wonderful warrior deserved, is an inspiration to all of us.

A dear friend of mine, Anne McCaffrey, wrote the following in her book, Dragonsong:

The tears I feel today
I'll wait to shed tomorrow
Though I"ll not sleep the night
Nor find surcease from sorrow.
My eyes must keep their sight
I dare not be tear-blinded
I must be free to talk
Not choked by grief, clear-minded.
My mouth cannot betray
The anguish that I know
Yes I'll keep my tears till later
But my grief will never go.

I think that is fitting for you and Mike. Please stop in again from time to time.

Sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Think on this. The depth of sorrow and grief you feel is a direct measure of the depth of love you two shared. You loved deeply, you will hurt deeply, and I'm sure you already have for many months. But time does heal all wounds. I think the best words I can share are those in the paper in the announcements section, viewtopic/t61785/Especially-for-newly-d ... hange.html. Even though it's written for new CPAP users the thoughts are based on my experience and learning about losing a loved one.

I give you a heartfelt THANK YOU for all you have shared here the past few years, and THANK YOU for allowing us to be a part of your difficult journey.

God bless.

Dori- I am saddened to hear of your loss. I know you loved him dearly and gave him your very best care. May God wrap His loving arms around you and give you peace during this sorrowful time. Please take time for you now, to remember the GOOD times you both had before illness ripped him from you. You know how much we love you, please come back to visit us when you can. Praying for you and your family in this difficult time. May Mike rest in peace.

Dori,

I don't check in as often as I used to so I'm just now hearing of Mike's passing. I am so sorry that you have lost your life partner, but he did fight the good fight and you were by his side the whole way. I hope you feel the love of this forum and that, in some way, it gives you comfort.

Hugs,
Bev
