Cutting off inhale too short?

Post by footballgirl13 » Mon Feb 23, 2015 1:39 pm

Not sure what it is called. But when I breath in on my bipap, I notice a weird feeling of being cut off of my inhale. My pressure ramps up to 15/11. It starts at about 10/7 or 10/7.5. My ramp is set for about 20 - 25 minutes. I notice this "cut off" feeling after I have the mask on for 10 + minutes.
I have tried it several times to take long breaths in and I'd say 1/2 the time I'm able to complete the long breath and other times -my machine cuts out and I exhale (or the machine goes to "E" instead of "I").

But it literally makes me feel like my machine is making me/forcing me to exhale.

Gosh, doesn't look like anyone wants to attempt to help you any more. Imagine that.

You should send an angry letter to the taxpayers of California. Let them know they just aren't doing enough for you and YOU are ENTITLED to MOARRRRRRR!!1!

you don't have to exhale, you just have to work harder to keep inhaling.

it's the way those respironics machines work... "NOPE! no more ipap for you!"

Play with the BiFlex exhale choices available to see if one of them will make you more comfortable.

But HOW do you expect her to do that ALL BY HERSELF?!! There should just be a BUTTON painted BRIGHT RED on top of the machine that automatically figures out what settings are perfect for her and APPLIES THEM INSTANTLY without her having to LEARN ANYTHING or DO ANYTHING AT ALL!!1!

It's just NOT FAIR and YOU should come to her house and DO IT FOR HER!!!

I noticed the inhale issues has resolved. I must have gotten used to the bi level function. But I did make changes to my machine. The reason is due to my machine saying AHI of 7.5 or 7.9.

The BiFlex was "off". I'm going to see if turning the BiFlex on helps with the AHI. I think that is high for me being on xpap. But I guess 7.5 is low since my AHI was 18.4 before xpap therapy and my RDI before xpap was 29.7 per hour.

What is the event category breakdown of that 7.5 AHI?
How much is the Clear Airway/Central index?
How much is the Hyponea index?
How much is the Obstructive Apnea index

Are you sleeping well now or are you having a lot of awake/semi awake time on the machine?

That didn't work. Made my AHI worse. I also noticed I was waking up more with the Bi-Flex on.

How much "worse". It is best to quote actual numbers for those trying to help you.
