Mask starting to provide comfort

Post by SailorJerry » Mon Mar 02, 2015 11:47 pm

My last post was how i had my first 0 AHI night.
what i didnt mention was how for the first time the mask felt welcome. When i put it on i immediatly relaxed and i think it even gave me comfort. I think my brain is already associating the mask with a good nights sleep.
or maybe its in my head. It seems so soon.
I went away on a romantic weekend and left it at home. Even though i slept ok i was glad to be back home and strapping that contraption back on my head.

My family has a history of giving names to inanimate objects in their life.
i think my mask needs a name. I keep referring to it as my machine.
it should be a she. Just because, well you know.

I can't imagine going one night without the mask. That's why I have a backup machine.... just in case. Once you start to get the hang of it, you start feeling better and your health takes an improvement. It is comforting to know that you are probably adding years to your life. I have figured 8-10 years for me.

As for me, I like the name "Skittles" for my mask.
