I'm warning you up front.......I'm not very bright with computers.
We've recently set up a new computer. We've changed from Windows XP to Windows 7 Professional. The Sleepyhead program was running well on the old machine.
I've tried to install it on this new machine. It downloads the program, but I can't figure out how to run it. I've tried to follow the You Tube instructions, but I get to the point where the program should show up on the desktop, but it's nowhere to be found.......not in documents either. When I click to open the download, it just has tons of "application extensions" and folders. So I'm stuck. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Which version of SleepyHead are you trying to install?
Which version of SH is installed on the Windows XP?

Hi Pugsy,
Where would I find that info? Today I just went to the Sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyhead.

Re: Help with running the Sleepyhead program
On the already installed program on the older computer the version will show up when you open SleepyHead in the upper left corner.
On the SH version you are having trouble with the download files will have the name of the version on the folder.
The newest testing version is 0.9.8-1 and I wouldn't go to sourceforge if it were me...I would go to the link I have in my signature line.
It might be easier if we can just get you the same version as you had on the old computer.

Re: Help with running the Sleepyhead program
Hi Pugsy,
The old version is 0.9.3.
Knowing that, what should I do next? If I can't get all the old data and transfer it to the new computer, it's probably best to move it to a flash drive.
In the meantime, I'll try to install the one listed in your signature.
Thanks!

Re: Help with running the Sleepyhead program
None of the new testing versions have an installer and you have to use the application.exe file to launch the program.
If you can't get the newest testing version to work out for you then you might consider just putting 9.3 on your computer as I think you will have less trouble with it until you can get the newest version figured out.
It won't hurt to have 0.9.3 on your computer along with the newest version.
You can get 9.3 from here...just unzip/extract and double click on the setup files to start the install. It's my own online storage so a safe download.

If you try the latest version found in my signature line be sure to read the instructions about using 7 zip.
