Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hey team. I thought I would post an update. I have been using my machine every night since I brought it home. It was brutal at first; however, eventually I got used to it. The best thing I did was getting away from a full-face mask to nasal pillows. Once I started using the Philips Resperonics Nuan...

Re: Diagnosed today, need a little encouragement

Getting used to the mask was quite a transition for me. It took several weeks to feel I could sleep uninterrupted. Also I began with a full face mask and eventually moved from a nasal mask to nasal pillows. Sticking with it before getting the pillows was the most difficult part. And once I settled i...

Re: Respironics Nuance

Yes, older topic. However, I have been using this mask for a couple of months and it has worked very well for me. Love the lighter feel. I moved from a full-face, to nasal, and now the Nuance nasal pillows. The gel inserts are very comfortable.

Re: Newly Diagnosed

I thought I would provide a quick update. After the severe apnea diagnosis in June I returned for the titration study in mid-July. Yesterday I brought home a ResMed VPAP Adapt, humidifier, heated hose, and ResMed Quattro FX full-face mask. I really struggled last night... it reminded me of the horre...

Re: cpap talk site

Welcome. I recently joined the site. I go in for my titration study on Monday night to find out how I need to be treated. It is nice to have a group of people to share some stories and get insight. Happy night breathing.

Re: Newly Diagnosed

I think this is the hardest time for me as well. I know of the potential benefits and want to get on the hose ASAP because I think I am paying a price in quality of life. However, I am just happy to be moving forward with assessment and treatment. I think this could be a life changer for me.

Newly Diagnosed

Hey gang. I've been lurking since my 6/14 sleep study. I'm scheduled for a titration study on 7/15. The most difficult result for me was finding out that I have primarily central apneas... the doc was unsure if that was because the gear wasn't picking up OSA's or if my bonehead brain isn't sending t...
