I had an upper front tooth knocked out 35 years ago. I've had a temporary bridge in for the last 20 years that was failing, so to replace it I'm getting a bone graft and implant.
The bone graft was done today and obviously I would like it to be successful. Doing it one time in my life is enough.
I use the Airfit P10, so it's not as bad as a nasal mask, but the mask still rests on my upper lip and will cause a slight amount of pressure directly on the surgical site.
I also have some mouth breathing (8-12lpm as reported by the machine), which is supposed to be not good for the healing process.
The dentist didn't say don't wear it, but he did say it would increase the odds of problems because of the mouth drying effects. I'm not having a problem currently with waking with dry mouth though.
I've been 100% compliant for nearly two years now and I can't imagine sleeping without my machine, but I'm wondering if I should forgo it for a short period during the initial healing period.
Thanks,
Jared

Re: Dental Bone Graft & CPAP
Perhaps a FF mask would be an option; it will rest on your chin below your lip... not exactly an inexpensive option, but definitely less expensive than messing up the bone graft.

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

Order a FFM from the site's host with free return insurance. If you like it beyond 30 days you can keep it OR ELSE return it for a full refund. Resmed Airfit F10 comes to mind.
