Unless you want to have fun with an odd musical instrument, you would be better off using one of these - http://www.rakuten.com/prod/respironics ... oCM5Hw_wcB

My impression is that the various forms of apnea exercises are NOT quackery, but the degree of improvement is usually fairly small, and not many people end up doing enough of the exercise to get the full benefits.

I have a friend who is a professional harmonica player. He is or was also overweight. I would be interested in finding out if he suffers from any type of sleep apnea. But I don't want to just ask him. That would be rude.

You could also be doing the same thing I sometimes do. That, is breathing through your nasal mask and mouth. When exhaling the air is going out your mouth. You could be inhaling the air and blowing it out your mouth and the machine not keeping your airway open because of it. Maybe try a chin strap or something to keep your mouth closed to force you to breath through the mask with the air forcing the airway open. Just something to think about from my perspective. That also causes dry mouth even with a humidifier.

Just do ANYTHING but fill in your equiptment, and let us know how it's set up, and by all means don't use the software and post any dailies. We do our best work, second guessing. Jim
