High AHI on Autoset with no leaks
My sister was diagnosed with OSA many years ago 10 + and tried a CPAP but found it to be incompatible. She was put on an oxygen concentrator and has used it since. She has been unwell with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia for so long that I suggested she try my CPAP because they have improved a lot ...

Re: Stuffy nose
I have the same sort of problem, only I can't breath properly whenever I lay down due to congestion and blockage. It was so bad that I had to take the mask off because I couldn't breath. I worked out that I had to have the starting pressure turned up to 7cm H2o pressure rather than the usual 4. This...

Re: Night time urination / apnea issues
Mon - are you a doctor, or just like to speculate with other people's health? There are many sites that you can search that will confirm what I suggested. Obviously there are many reasons for frequency but not all of them are bad. Do a Search for Frequent Urination and Sleep Apnea - Sleep Guide and...

Re: Night time urination / apnea issues
I have been told that there is a hormone that is released every time you have an untreated apnea, its function is to arouse you to take a breath. This hormone should not be released as regularly as it is when you have untreated OSA. When you treat the apneas, the hormone is not released as often. Th...

Re: Running out of options, need help! Hybrid mask..
Aaron, I had the same problem as you. I solved it by purchasing a 2" wide elastic headband ( found in the grocery store or any drug store, usually packaged in 3's, and cheap) and placing it over my head and nose (think Indian, only lower). Keep the bottom edge of the headband edge at the bottom of ...

She is using a full face mask. I'll suggest she turn the humidity up a bit then and see if that helps.

Why no swivel on the ResMed AirFit P10?
I love the P10 but really wonder why it doesn't have a swivel attachment. Does anyone know why they didn't make it with a swivel. Perhaps that's a way they can make an upgrade in the future and they've left it so it can be made better in the future. I feel it is very much better to have the hose abo...
