Large Leaks - Cluster of Events

Post by rebe » Fri Jan 30, 2015 9:41 am

The other day I had some large leaks which is not the usual for me.
And I notice a cluster of events concomitant with the leaks.

Was wandering what is the relation between the leaks and the cluster of CA and Hypopneas? (Usually I no longer get many obstructives)

In my opinion........
When one gets significant leakage (including Large Leaks), it can mess with the machine's sensors and programming to interpret the events. So, the events may or may not be reliable. And, in many cases aren't even recorded DURING the Large Leaks.

I have been experiencing the same thing lately because I need a new cushion
For my mask. I cant get one until Wed. Medicare only allows one a month that they will help pay for.
They cost $75 to buy outright. With medicare I pay $37.
Major leaks on my machine aResmed S9 Vpap , get interpreted as Ca,s a lot of times.
Wish cushions would last longer

Unless the pattern continues, I wouldn't worry too much - anything can set off a particular event, even a sudden noise that didn't awaken you, but registered because your body reacted, or moving a certain way and holding your breathe, so wait and see if it continues or not.
