Does this SPO2 chart look like Apnea?

Post by Scott_CO » Thu Jan 29, 2015 6:24 pm

An overnight pulse oximetry showed many desaturation events.

My SPO2 is low during the day as well, though (around 92% average).

I'm wondering if this looks like anyone's pre-CPAP data or if I might have a different problem causing the low saturation.

Thanks.

We really could use more data, one is not enough... and one day is not enough. JUST having a lowish SPO2 is not enough to diagnose much and a lot more info, historical and present would help. Plus any equipment you're using, at what settings, etc. etc.

Those are interesting charts...

You start off pretty typical, but when you desaturate your heart rate increases. This dance goes on throughout the night.

When your blood has enough oxygen you will usually see your heart rate start off a little higher then settled down throughout the night as you relax.

I am not sure why you have so many upward spikes in your pulse graph. It looks like you rolled over at around 1:50 but after that you may have been thrashing around while trying to get your oxygen levels up.

Hold on to that chart. I will be a good "before" chart to compare with down the road.
