Re: Mask Liner Solved My Mouth Breathing Problem
I have been suffering for 10 years on poorly tolerated CPAP. I would wake up many times a night with a dry mouth from a lifetime of mouth breathing due to sinus problems. Sinus surgery made it so I could breath through my nose, but I could not break the night time mouth breathing habit. About two w...

Re: Need help with screen shots
SleepyHead 0.9.6's built-in screenshot tool SleepyHead 0.9.6 has a built-in screenshot tool that works well for most Macs and PCs. Once you have the window set up the way you want it to appear, simply press the F12 function key and SleepyHead 0.9.6 will a screen shot of the SleepyHead window. The sc...

Re: No matter what I do, I keep getting leaks
I had similar breathing problems. I could not breath through my nose. It turned out I had a deviated septum and a bulbous turbinate on one side. It was hollow in the middle and filled up most of the nasal cavity. So I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction about 4 years ago. Now I can breathe out...

Re: Full Face Mask Recommendations Needed
The liner looks like a piece of fabric that goes under the sealing surface. What does that do?

Re: Any Recommendations for Full Face Mask
I may like to try the Amara view. But how does it fit around the nose? Looks like it just seals at the bottom of the nose.

Re: Full Face Mask Recommendations Needed
I will look at those recommendations. Thank you. I want to try a nasal mask but I have not yet been able to fall asleep with it yet. I will keep trying.

Full Face Mask Recommendations Needed
I am using a Mirage Quattro full face mask. I'm having a hard time stopping my mask leaking. My pressure is high at 17 cm h20 so I have the straps pretty tight to minimize leaks. I know this mask is supposed to 'inflate' to create the seal but I always have to use brute force to tighten it up. Is th...

Re: Can an ENT make a difference?
I have been struggling with CPAP therapy for 7 years with poor results. A CT scan of my sinuses showed I had a big hollow turbinate (concha belosa) and a deviated septum which made it nearly impossible to breathe through my nose. I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction and now I can breathe thro...

Will Trade Mirage Quattro for Nasal Mask
I would like to trade a new in bag Mirage Quattro medium and mask insert. I would like in trade a nasal mask with insert also new in bag. I recently had sinus surgery and am now taping my mouth shut to train myself to breathe through my nose. So I think I can now try a nasal mask. http://i.imgur.com...

Re: Septoplasty and Turbinate Reduction today
Great news, Riveter. Good luck sleeping tonight. This is the one apnea related surgery that I have had that I would do all over again if I had to. The difference in ability to breathe through my nose was remarkable. Indeed. I can fully breathe through my nose now, whereas before one or both sides w...

Re: Septoplasty and Turbinate Reduction today
It's day 9 since surgery. My recovery has been pretty easy, except for those first few sleepless nights. The last couple of nights have been pretty good, sleep wise. I have not used CPAP for 9 days now, and I am no worse off. I don't feel rested and my body still hurts like usual, but I am as well a...
